Mobilink to replace your old mobile phone with a new 3G smartphone

Mobilink has launched Pakistan’s first “Phone Trade Program” enabling its customers to exchange their old cell phones with the latest 3G supported smart phones of their choice by paying the differential cost. The program is aimed at providing Mobilink customers with affordable access to 3G smartphones through a trusted retail channel for exchange of their devices. The newly purchased phones will come with Mobilink pre-loaded 3-month data bundle offer. Currently, Mobilink hasn’t disclosed what will be the price of its 3G package, but, customers won’t have to wait long as 3G auction is happening and the service launch is just around. At least, this offer suggests that Mobilink is confident in getting a 3G or a 4G license.

The exchange program is currently being offered at Mobilink’s Islamabad Business Center, Blue Area as a pilot project and will subsequently extended to major cities of Pakistan. Customers can exchange their old handsets after proper verification of IMEI and security checks with brand new 3G supported smart phones with pre-loaded data bundle offer with fair usage of 2GB. Phones of various brands including Samsung, HTC, iPhone and Huawei are available at the Business Center with Q-Mobile to be made available soon.
