Delegation of Turkcell which is on visit of country to gauge the prospect of investing in telecom arena has recently visited Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) and Ministry of Information technology offices in Islamabad. They held meetings with State Minister of Information & Technology Anusha Rehman and PTA chairman Dr. Ismail Shah and discussed about the prospects of upcoming auction of 3G/4G auction in the country.

Dr. Shah informed the delegation about the rapid growth of telecom market in the country. Giving credit to investor friendly policies and efficient regulatory regime, Dr. Shah told the delegation that telecom sector has shown unprecedented growth in past few years
The members of the Turkcell delegation showed keen interest in the upcoming Spectrum Auction for next generation mobile services in Pakistan. Lauding the policies of the Pakistan Government, the Turkish delegation noted that swift development in the telecom sector particularly in the cellular mobile sector of Pakistan has drawn deep appreciation from the global telecom community.
