In case you want to secure your internet usage at least on your android phone then you must install this app from Google Play that was developed by Lookout labs.Lookout’s Heartbleed Detector app determines which of OpenSSL is running and then tells users whether or not their phones could have been affected by Heartbleed. Sadly If the app finds a vulnerable device, it won’t be able to wipe the bug from your system.
Heartbleed bug was notified few days back sending shockwaves among the internet users when they came to know that the security protocols that were supposed to encrypt their internet data transfers were themselves flawed. Interestingly this app was not developed for iOS users and it was even not needed as Apple has confirmed that its devices are not even vulnerable to this bug so there is no need for such an app either.
